By using this text to a distance. Seems to give a good introduction to the issues in the health sector. Written on a level I can understand that is not a medical person, but a hospital support person.
Williams and Torrens has developed one of the best introductory texts on the American health care. The book has clear learning objectives, useful references and helpful diagrams. The U.S. health system is farily and precisely defined, warts and all.
